Bored with Basic Black? THINK of basic black as the foundation instead of the defining color in your wardrobe. How do you break up that wallof black that's in your closet without feeling too obvious? The solution is not to go to extremes. If your colleagues are used to seeing you in black from head-to-toe, then of course you will be turning heads if you all of a sudden you decided to show up in head-to-toe neon pink. Think of Color as an Accessory or Accent color. Putting a new color into your wardrobe is like buying a bright colorful picture to put on a bare wall. It can make an immediate and noticeable difference. Color is back (again). We need to brighten up the grays and blacks you have bought the past two seasons. Everywhere you look you see hot pink, apple green, watermelon, lilac. You want to have some of that lively color in your wardrobe, but you're not sure how much to have. Start out small and simple. Buy a vivid color shell or, if that is still a bit too bold, buy a colorful scarf. You are not investing a lot of money, but it can make an outfit look brand new and put you right into today's fashion look. If you add at least one or two colorful items to your basic wardrobe you can mix and match and get at least a dozen or more 'new' outfits. Remember, it does not have to be a solid color. You can add a colorful print, plaids, or stripes. Not sure what color to add to your wardrobe? CALL: 651 647-9921 for an appointment now! Do you have a fashion question? |
